The Organization: Church of the Brethren Home, Inc., doing business as Timbercrest, is an Indiana 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that has operated since 1889, with a long and rich tradition of serving older adults. Timbercrest continues to thrive in North Manchester, Indiana, as a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), also known as a Life Plan Community, offers a range of care options for seniors as their level of care needs progresses over time.
Position Overview: Timbercrest is seeking a Director of Development to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, multi-skilled professional with a strong background and enthusiasm for building our Development Department. We are looking for a seasoned fundraising professional who can lead us in building and expanding our donor base and fundraising efforts.
The Director of Development is a key leadership role responsible for spearheading our fundraising efforts, fostering donor relationships, and advancing our mission and vision of caring for the elder population. This position requires a passionate advocate with a strong commitment to the values and goals of Timbercrest. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strategic vision, fundraising expertise, and exceptional communication skills to drive growth and engage stakeholders effectively.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: A member of the leadership team and reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Development is responsible for the leadership, direction, and operations of Timbercrest fundraising initiatives. They will be responsible for planning, executing, and achieving both long and short term contributed income goals for Timbercrest through the annual fund, special events, campaigns, and major gifts.
The Director of Development will be an enthusiastic spokesperson for Timbercrest’s mission, vision, and values for both internal and external constituents. They will collaborate closely with the Executive Director, the Board Advancement Committee, and staff to expand and deepen existing donor relationships while implementing creative approaches to expand the pool of Timbercrest’s supporters.
